Environment Area And Neighbour

Your neighbours and your neighbourhood

  • Although painful to know, your life may not be easy when you are an LGBT tenant, it is also true to say that you can live your life relatively peacefully.

Your environment, area and neighbouring

  • Before you look for an area to live, take the precaution to survey the area you want to live in. Check for crime rates, specifically crime against ethnic minorities and LGBT’s. You will adversely double your misfortune if you happen to be black or Asian and LGBT.

  • Even if you find suitable accommodation in a relatively tolerant area, you may have what I call a not good or bad neighbour who is against LGBT’s and believe me it will be your life and health that may be affected. So, it is vital when asking to visit a flat or house you intend to rent, to make sure that you do your homework. Do not hesitate to ask your landlord or letting agent questions related to your neighbours.
